Shopping complete!

Well, it took two days, but I finally finished shopping for this week. I went to Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Kroger, and Brookshire's.....I think that is all. Anyway, I spent $69.25 and my coupon total was $30.98. I was really happy about that.

Coupon frenzie!

I have just spent over an hour matching coupons with the sales from Kroger, Brookshire's, Wal-mart, Walgreen's and Target. I have tomorrow off. I plan to do a "little" house cleaning, have lunch with a friend then hit the grocery stores. I think I have alot a great deals coming my way. I will post tomorrow.

Lower Cell phone bill

Last Friday, my husband and I went to our cellular provider and asked,"what can we do to lower our bill?" He looked at it, studied it, talked to us....then after about 30 minutes, we were able to lower our bill by about $80. That is alot of money to me. So, once again, I am perusing every bill to see how I can lower each one. I do this a couple of times a year. Today we also canceled our newspaper delivery. We really do enjoy it, but rarely have time to read it. We can always read it on line. I will now have to go to Wal-Mart on Sunday to get the coupon edition. Any way this is about $18.00 a month. I think saving $98 a month is a pretty good deal.

Anniversary!

I started this blog on November 22, 2008. It seems when I first started, I found TONS of freebies and good deals. I have not found and really great deals in several months. Don't get me wrong, I still find a few good deals. My question is: Are the better deals seasonal? I am just not looking? Or Have I done this so long, that what I thought was a great deal is just "normal" now? Hmmm....

Halloween is over!

We had a wonderful Halloween. We had a neighbor hood block party. We all brought food, sat around the fire pit and handed out candy. The adults had as much fun as the children. Today I have cleaned up all the decorations and ready for Fall.
