July totals!!

OK, I have been cleaning out "stuff" to sell.  I have also purchased a few items at Goodwill to resell.  My total profit this month......$300.52.  The change is from money I found in the dryer and parking lots.  Every penny counts!

Free toothpaste!!

Kroger has Colgate toothpaste on sale for $1.00.  There is a $. 50 off coupon in Smartsource.  Kroger will double that...FREE!!!

I made a profit..

Yesterday, I reported buying $6.42 worth of "treasures" at Goodwill thrift store.   I forgot to mention, one item was a children's Christmas apron, new with the tag.  The price had been marked out, so I do not know the value.  I sold it today for $8.00.  Now everything else is pure profit!!!

Well it has been awhile!

Today, I made my weekly Goodwill run.  I spent $6.42.  What did I get????  I newborn Feltman Brothers Christening gown.  It retails for over $30.  I am trying to sell it for $10.  I also got a Ralph Lauren polo children's dress.  Retails for $35.  I am trying to sell it for $10.  I also got  1 pair of children's Gap jeans and 1 pair of children's Old Navy jeans.  If  I sell any one item, I make money.  For me, I got an Abercrombie & Fitch fall sweater and about 10 brand new Christmas gift bags in assorted colors.  Not bad!!

June totals!!

My totals are in from items I sold on Craigslist or another local site, or sold at a Consignment store.  I also included the change I found in the parking lot or pockets of things I bought at Goodwill.........drumroll, please!     $153.35!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And...I still have a lot of items at 2 different consignment stores.

Another way to make extra money!

As I was searching on Craigslist I ran across an interesting post.  I thought it was a great and simple idea to make a little extra money.  This was a person with a truck, that was offering to carry garage sale items.
His offer was to call him and he would pick up your garage sale item and deliver it to your house.  I thought that was a very creative idea.....and simple!!!

Thrift stores!

I love a good thrift store!!!  Today, I went to my local Goodwill. This particular store has a "Treasure Store" in the back.  Every morning from 9-12, they allow customers to shop in the items that have not been sorted.  This means DIGGING in large boxes of clothes!  The best part is it is sold for $0.85 a pound.  Today I bought $12.51 worth of clothing that included a couple of t-shirts, a children's fleece coat from the GAP, a Polo t-shirt, a Browning down hunting jacket, a hunting cover-all, Children's Christmas dress...I think that was it.
It gets better....I found a total of $3.60 in the pockets.
Most of the items I will sell on Craigslist or take to a consignment store.  The Browning jacket retails for about $150.00.  All in all, it was a  pretty good day.

Consignment stores!

Selling things at Consignment stores is a very easy way to  make a few bucks.  Look around your community and you will find lots of stores.  There are locally owned stores and nationally owned stores.  They specialize in everything from antiques to baby clothes to sporting goods.  Plato's Closet is a nationally owned business. They specialize in teenage clothes.  They also pay cash on the spot.  You just drop off your clean clothes, they sort them and offer you a price. Play it Again Sports works in a similar fashion.  They will pay cash on the spot for used sporting goods or you can consign it.  Do a little research and find the best place to make the most money!

I made $. 97 today!!!

I spent time with my daughter today. She needed to wash her car and sarcastically asked if I wanted to wait in the hot car or check out the parking lot for change.  Well I took the challenge!  I found $. 97!!!

Rebates and contests

Rebates and contests are a great way to earn money and prizes.  I have to admit, I do not enter contests very often.  Does anyone know the ins and outs of contests?  Which ones are they best to enter?  Are there any tricks to help win?
