$4 generic prescriptions

Prescription medications have become soooo! expensive. At times cost prohibitive for some people. I have learned both personally and professionally about the $4 generic lists at Target and Wal-Mart. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to "qualify" for these prescriptions. You can print a list of the $4 generics from
www.walmart.com/pharmacy or http.sites.target.com/site/en/health/generic_drugs.jsd , then take it to your physician. Ask he/she to select (if possible) from the list. My experience has been most physicians are already familiar with these lists and are happy to help. If a generic cannot be prescribed, remember to ask for samples. Physicians often have samples of the name brand medications.

This is something I use with my patients at the hospital. As a transplant social worker, I followed many of my patients for a LONG time. Several of the patients are on so many medications. It really has helped many of my patients!
