Coupons...sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

I stopped at Kroger tonight to pick up a few things. I got my free cottonelle toilet paper. I tried to get the free Fast Fixin chicken, but it is no longer $1.00. (I had 1 $1.00 off coupon left) It was over $2.00. The chicken was good when it was free, but not too tasty if I had to pay for it. Then there was the Purina dog food. I had a $4.00 off coupon from the www.giveabowl.com . I have used these before at Kroger. Tonight they would not accept it. The store policy is to not take internet coupons over $1.00. When I asked when the policy changed, I was told that has always been the policy. This was new to me. Has anyone else heard this policy? I'm I the last to know?

Free toilet paper! I didn't know! Thanks! :) It used to be $1.19... maybe it still is at my Kroger, but that is still a good price.
