My yard is always filled with these weeds. Am I missing out on something good? Anyone every try them?

My MIL used to pick dandelion greens when they were young and tender when she saw them growing on the side of the road, ( not in areas that have been treated with any type of fertilizers or other chemicals )clean them, boil them in water, drain, add olive oil and fresh crushed garlic, salt and pepper. My Hubs and his family loves them !!!
